About

The Associate of Science in Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering is a state-recognized Major Related Program (MRP) designed for students who plan to transfer to a Bachelor of Science degree program at a four-year college or university. Entry into many engineering programs is competitive, and students are urged to work closely with TCC advisors and university advisors to ensure all entry requirements are met.

The first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering can be completed at TCC. Students can earn an associate degree to transfer to a Washington state public university. Here is important information about the Bioengineering program’s specific requirements:

While in high school, students should pursue all of the available courses in mathematics, chemistry, biology, computer programming and physics. Post-high school, students may need to take additional math and science courses to meet requirements.
